DURAND BRIDAL / BLACK & LEE CALGARY - COVID 19 ANNOUNCEMENT - December 1, 2020

Family is the heart of our business and our industry.  We are incredibly grateful to be able to do the work we do and we are deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients, our guests, our staff, and our community.  Our thoughts and hearts are with everyone locally and around the world that is being impacted by COVID 19 (Coronavirus). Our deepest gratitude goes to all the front line workers and first responders.

Due to the personal and direct contact nature of our business we will be limiting our hours, maintaining occupancy limit, offering private appointments, curbside pickups, and limiting the number of guests for appointments in observance of the recommendations from the W.H.O., CDC, Health Canada, and the government (both local and national) for all non-essential companies and services as of the new restrictions brought forward on November 27th including but not limited to: 

  • All guests, clients, visitors and staff must wear a mask or an approved (by City of Calgary Guidelines) face covering during your visit.

  • We have WiFi and video chat services / tools available for all guests to ensure you can include everyone that is not able to safely join you for your appointment.

  • Virtual Bridal Appointments and Socially Distant At Home Try On options with curbside pick-ups are also available upon request.

  • Hand sanitizer and disposable masks are available for anyone that requires one.

We are committed to ensuring our visitors can still celebrate the special moments in their lives in while maintaining best safe practices as recommended by AHS for you and your guests. We must continue to work together to protect each other and flatten the curve.

For our clients that are waiting for their dresses to arrive:  our designers are working diligently to ensure everyone has their dress as quickly as possible during this incredibly difficult time.  While the virus has had impacts on all levels of business and in every industry, our designers are back in production and dresses are on their way.  We will contact you to arrange your curbside pick up as soon as your gown arrives.  We can also arrange for shipping if you are more comfortable having your dress delivered for our out of town families or for anyone impacted by the health crisis.

For our Menswear clients from Black & Lee that have rented a suit or tuxedo for an upcoming event – in the event that your event is postponed your rental will be moved to your new date at no charge or we can offer a store credit for our men’s department.

In the midst of the current health crisis and global uncertainty we are aware that things can change quickly – we will continue to follow the guidance of local medical officials and global health experts.  If at any time their recommendations change, increase, or become more critical, we will adapt immediately to protect our clients, guests, and staff.
