Your bridal appointment is booked for an hour and a half to ensure you have time to try on a large selection of gowns, to be able to relax and enjoy the process, and to celebrate with your guests. Once you have narrowed down your choices to a few fav’s we will try them on again back to back with a veil and flowers and help you envision your day! You will have your own private space with a Senior Bridal Stylist dedicated to you.

Our wedding dresses range from $895 to $3995 with most of our collection in $1250 - $3250 budget along with amazing sample sale gowns that start at $499 and go to $1499 - sample sales dresses are sold off the rack.

We carry 15 different designers - each gown in our collections is carefully curated to make sure we have the latest trends, classics styles and silhouettes, and options for all sizes and budgets! Our feature designers are: Sophia Tolli, Morilee, Stella York, Lillian West, Jadore, Zoey Gwen, Christina Wu, Abella, Martin Thornburg, Enchanting, and many more including private label couture gowns exclusive to Durand Bridal.

Wedding gowns can take 6 to 12 months to arrive depending on your designer. We recommend finding your gown 8 to 12 months in advance if possible so you have to most election and lots of time for delivery / alterations. Many of our designers do offer faster delivery options for Brides with an earlier date along with expedited service, existing inventory from their collections, and we have many gowns that can be done out of the collection for Brides with weddings in less than 3 months.

We offer sample gowns in a range of sizes from a 2 to a 30. Each sample dress is unique and chosen for the size we have based on fit / construction / comfort. Your stylist will help you choose the best samples for your bridal vision!

Yes! In addition to our main collection of special order gowns we always have some beautiful gowns in our boutique on Sample Sale as well as a selection of new samples that can be done Off The Rack for weddings coming up soon.

Alterations vary depending on the fabric and fine details of your dress.  For Bridal we recommend budgeting between $400 and $800.  These estimates can be affected or increased by things such as customization requests, intricate hand beading on your dress, and how much time you have prior to your event (less than 3 weeks).  We have amazing partner seamstresses in Calgary that we will refer you to during your pick up appointment - alterations are not included in the price of our dresses.

All of our wedding gowns are Made To Order - that means we measure the three most important areas (bust / waist / hips) and use your designer's unique sizing guides to determine what size your gown will be made in.  Our goal is to get the dress as close to perfect as possible but you may still require some alterations to get an exact fit as no two woman are alike and in some cases are very different sizes in different areas.

Bridal and formal wear sizes are based on an International Size Guide as most designers sell around the world - this guide is a reference tool and should not reflect how you feel about your dress size as it does not reflect what you would typically wear in other clothing styles.  The difference is on average 2 sizes: a standard 8 is a Bridal 12.
